Good ideas deserve
good posters.
Posterage is a growing collection of visual starting points for people putting something into the world.
Made for people, not developers.
A community gathering. Your band’s next gig, and the record after it. A first book. Choose a style, add your words, and take a complete prompt to ChatGPT or Gemini. The same hundred styles cover event posters, social posts, album covers, and book covers. There’s no Posterage account to create and no API key to figure out.
Useful by design.
Each style has its own art direction, a practical writing tip, and a prompt you can customize. Original generated examples are published with the exact prompts that made them. Styles without an example image are clearly marked as pending.
A small fictional San Francisco.
Every example advertises something made up in a version of San Francisco where the venues, bands, authors, and publishers are invented and the parks and neighborhoods are real. In that world Posterage is a print shop in the Mission District that also runs a small venue, a record label, and a small press, so the name turns up now and then the way a promoter, a label, or a publisher would. Nothing else is branded, and nothing you type is.
Your details stay with you.
The customizer assembles prompts in your browser. It keeps a draft in this tab’s session storage so you can try different styles, and “Clear details” resets it. We don’t send your event details to a server. Copying a prompt and opening another service are separate actions; you decide what to paste there.
